Public Vs Private School Pros

Diposting oleh Unknown | 07.08

hello I love so today I'm here with
cuttin' not him and yeah
break any making media about private hard ones
verses huh oh yeah
say and basically the pro and cons a private and public
schools I wanted to do was be a fair really no tie and
and is behind hawkish I need someone else to do with the
so I just decided to do it we went down the pipes so each of those that you now
and make sure this video is no longer than five minutes pick three
we got a dirt so we'll see her I am has gone get tired AE
now day lol way down in weight yeah
those office down I so the pros
for private hot ones we lay down here
if you're coming to create private homeowners
easily the easiest
choice for you why because they will take
anybody is really matter as long as you can speak English
you are the perfect candidate are receive yours
good-looking as I am new
using highway yeah
your chances of getting a job were significantly higher
think back to that kind of the chief I
variety but O'Brien me you got hot ones that
are a little early for there that you middle school
and in kindergarten you have high ones I do sports
sport are wonderful ways with it was on the side the hot ones that do saw a high
school
are there special eyes for you may be history or
they won't pitch specifically math or science to some other ones
you teach either one subject
during last four you teach all the subjects please I woulda
whose never did get a gun and I have to do everything
absolutely everything was crazy but you also have a lot
more teaching freedom they give you the books as a
go ahead ditch the matter how their mission gets in there and just as long
as it gets in there
they're smaller me a few you ever walk rogue read the message
you schools would like to 150 rooms on the first floor
not high ones they are like 10 rooms
at this Stenson
sets including the batter I a lot of upper
what I January working at you
that this one I don't know actually they might be Tigers the puzzle and if you're
lucky there's
one haha I W out the building
and to a different place I know hey yeah it's crazy
put you to work it were a lot support us I'm on a hunt for missing you work with
that
knows me just me yeah bustling lot
just oh my I literally I could why would anyone has his own
gets back yeah I like my own space and time to speak to anyone
did you want and watch TV pursue it will owner
I'm skating a place but if problems really your opportunity socialized
people because its solely English
and everybody there speaks English so
it often feel outta place and because that is a large social network
whose you have teachers all over the country or see
I guess as urine that really coexist and work together
because there's lots of that happens within approach on any you know you
definitely that picture
boo sometimes classes are significantly smaller
range anywhere from for kids
to maybe 20 30 is the most I've ever heard
others 100 even up to his sis if you wanna stay here
we're going to have a hot one really shows that you're going to
keep the OHS take it out and you can Devon move there
from I want to a public school being you can move up as a teacher
in which gives you not a lot more power
I here but is also very steady so if you want to go to international school
already why
move up to universal is a little less free time
money I amazing and you only need a bachelor's for that lose
show you that one now using a veces
and her you still lookin people like us us
or some people none non-white people I'll let people
has that one I slightly less than that that's definitely a
I'll have a car
now you considered yeah I have good teacher yes she stay in a room with him
yeah close the whole time yeah chastity awesome
so that this ok half the time a hard one
so the video hot when you get either you have a code is your with you
Bowl whole time or you
you caller and she shows up that sucks but
you have time to be taken on the co Thoi what should you do I i to lack
in the on jesus christ sake
hit my head to is not it today and it in it so either
hi the contract that's the whole the best part because if you're
very good negotiator you can negotiate almost whatever you want now
my don't know this is a and same with the working waiting to public school
me hungry on contract the contract is set by the government that the end of
the story
then there's no little room at all no ok so it is you go work at the same salary
no not that changes elections okay but not united go see it that's really set
is assess only one year's
New Year be yet it's late you got quite clear to me
one thing that I've I really was appreciative in the heart one was that
you
they give you upgrade to a bees a run so
law schools be required to show up with a visa
however if you come here the
will paid for you to fly to say
Japan for the day get your visa and at four live act
so there's a praise and what can happen yes what moves now I'm gonna go from
prison lacking a in
public skiddle best price is that you have coat each %ah
this is very important because it's really nice to have someone
you can bridge the gap between Union students specially when you come to
create he speaks 0
Korean and witness the ok it's probably speaks 0 English
I mean if you go to school whether liza like have ones there by like
I woke him up donkey and looked on its famous Feliz had once they knew my have
a bunch a kids

you just a fluent in English however I if you live somewhere where there isn't
much be listening closely pump John
he might be john you probably have a bunch a kids that don't speak any
English
and it can be kinda don't end when you visit in there cellco teacher really
bridges that gap and helps you out and that goes on to my second pro it
eighties that the county has helped me was that he up
everything you need to do your banking your phone your AARP card
and things to do with immigration and everything like that usually ok I'll
teacher or someone at your school that was in control love you the foreign
teacher
will help you out with that which is absolutely great is
it's really hard when you don't speak Korean you have to go and South Tyrone
contract at some random phones though where they speak no English
believe from would be epic fail epic epic epic fail
times 100 another thing that surprised about working in a public school
is that you have a lot and three-time
the reason being is cuz you teach about 22 hours a week
usually no more than that side the rest a few hours that you may be free of free
a few hours a day

spread out evenly that's just me and
lesson planning in public elementary schools you a lesson plan because you
see you working on a book
well I don't let landers is not quite at me so I'm just lychee finding activities
to go with the things my book
and so I don't spend much time left learning every day
instead I'm cinema industry alone on my computer up
possibly on Facebook not gonna sampling candy crush not gonna say I'm watching
not the car the game a friend's not I'll I'm just saying
three times their four hours I again barring
not approaches that Islam by the cop government which leads into the stable
contracting

side you have a contract and it's pretty much set for everyone
in it's all able the teachers at work in public schools
have the similar kind of contract bill is different what you had its different
olin had once they get
negotiate we don't have any of that and that kinda what kinda
in our favor mister time because it's done by the government is legit there's
no going back to miss you can take me to call it
anything goes to geet go testimony and you know if
your score may not complying with a contract and not
going by and then you could if you had to which people usually advise you to do
not to do but yea you got em i mean you could say to them my school is not play
my contract
and not prior working in public schools is that you do you have
a lot of paid vacation you
sensor I have about 21
21 weekdays unpaid vacation which I can use
if I have like Los all I
during my holidays so you have like holidays which like public national
holidays
and you could usually I'm not in school

but if you want to use a holiday days usually have to use doesn't this time
because
pretty much every other day a working so econ usual paid holiday
if you have class that's not going to happen looks cool im not going to allow
the unless
it's really really really strange circumstance
are usally go I they tried that I have cameras at every exit my school their
their ways the get out you have a lot of paid vacation days which trees you can
take off quite a lot of time
to Guyana and travel the loss for I have he is that
you only have to let 22 hours max so you
anything over 22 hours teaching hours
teaching actual teaching is over time and they have to pay for that
even if it is within school hours sir yeah
this and other there's all the press so cons Public Vs Private School Pros

Online and Blended Learning at Evergreen Public Schools

Diposting oleh Unknown | 10.21

http://schoolschools.blogspot.com/ >> Online and Blended Learning at Evergreen Public Schools
Evergreen school district is approximately 27,000 students in
Vancouver Washington
and vancouver washington is a suburb of Portland Oregon in the metropolitan area
we are community need every lacks the kind the demographic communities and the
state
and about approximately half my students are on free and reduced lunch
we have %uh for comprehensive high schools 6 comprehensive middle schools
and 20 elementary schools
%uh our understanding applied online education
are computer-assisted education are technology-based education
on has evolved in and what it's allowed us to do
do we start with a virtual experience moved a blended learning experience and
then start moving to really had a designer
spare ones in which I the individualized instruction mattered because the
population that which we are serving
were very unique in terms of what we're trying to accomplish
so that's where we went from the virtual school to plan its cool
care partnerships world language credit recovery so
really allowed us as the expansion up really the menu of options we could
more we have over 2000 students that participate in
and some sort of online experience bars on
every school district has always believed in providing high quality
education for
all students and we know that may mean honestly worthwhile for them to be
and a typical building ap so the district actually provides a lot of
different alternative program
and we really tried to provide students the opportunity to be able to
have that than to learning experience not fall through the cracks like
unfortunately so many students do
when a building typical traditional style format doesn't work for them
I love that online education gives you an opportunity to have a really flexible
schedule
I also go to the skill center and in the criminal justice program
and I decided that once I got into that program that would be so much easier if
all my classes online project a structured time block
that I could actually and move around in and do things one day and then come home
and do my online work the other day
so I i jus it for flexibility so I teach middle school language arts
and it really provide students a great opportunity
to be able to you learn the content area effectively
online where they have learning management system with the curriculum
where they have the flexibility to be able to learn at any point during the
day that they
but like to depending on what kinda particular schedule that they have
thousand really enjoy that flexibility above everything else
the best part being online didn't
plans how much help I got
and how much individual I time I had with the teacher
and how involved they wear in my school work
heel height: one thing we realize was that given a small school we can offer
all the classes in the Fall course catalog that are other comprehensive
high schools could offer
so we decided to offer a virtual
option for students so in the brick more classes are kids can take Spanish
and American Sign Language as thats
component to graduate we wanted to offer them
french-german Chinese also so that they can keep going with what they really
wanted to do and not
construct them to just the offerings we could happen reconnoiter
by the time I graduate I wanna have four years Chinese and
so basically starting right now which I am in 10th grade and sophomore
I throughout my journey here he'll Alan s continue taking this online course
so I can be proficient in almost flew away
and and since like having the option for taking the online courses
they like to be able to continue with that one language they've really wanted
to do.
or if they don't have room in their schedule for certain class spend the
online course give them some options to take it
after school they can do it and expand their
classes pass what they can do and African hard
likes a plan to me is actually a partnership between
parents and teachers and
the lovely thing about it is is that this is a program
for parents poo want from controllable
when your child learns on how they learn
but they what support are
perhaps as date adopted orchestrated opted
curriculum I'll so that their
children will be able to graduate from high school teen
able to know common or standards
and to have past hola
that state exams into important
print home my son is a 6-year-old
way here and study coming to have an impact
karen is a kindergartner is now in first grade
this program works well for us because there's many different styles
%uh learning they have amazing tax perks
great hands-on manipulatives they have
CDs they go along with the curriculum we also
really enjoy coming in saying the teacher she's very supportive
there's a solid foundation and a learning plan
and that I know that I'm teaching my child was gonna be expected of him
for passing States has and for going to college
that's one point I believe the program works
for our students because it allows a great partnership between families
and our classroom families have more control of their child's education
and more one-on-one learning goes on at home
and here at school we have smaller classrooms. which allows
for more individualized attention gives a more opportunities for it
the socialization and the creativity while keeping families involved
I think that evergreen offers this because homeschooling
has become years there's so many people
that want quality education for their children but through this program
they're smaller classroom sizes italian girls were one-on-one attention and by
working with you
and I think the Evergreen chose this because they want to make sure the
parents who home-school
have some guidelines some support and if thats
parents feel like they can do this and I think it's a great program
to every in public schools created the world language program in all the middle
schools in the district
as a way to provide additional opportunities to students we don't have
a role language teachers
yeah in the middle schools and it was definitely a
a wanted the communities and the school districts to give those kids an
opportunity to do that are
Superintendent John Deere an art director secondary education 10th our
arm are always looking at ways to advanced students apply to acceleration
opportunities
on this was a great way to provide a high school credit
to students in the middle schools and given that chance to accelerate their
learning the students
are taking Chinese French German and Spanish they come into class each day
for first and second period here cascade and a login cue their coursework
and they begin to work on their lessons
on ignition ask one last June and I have like a little crazy for even enter high
school
conflict really really creepy cousin to get ahead
in like the only time to take another like Spanish to
in high school sewing and I'll be a freshman
the biggest challenge we're looking to solve this
by additional opportunities to students we don't have a lot of offerings were
eliminated by size and scope
that we can provide teachers for and this was a way for us to provide
multiple language opportunities I that wouldn't be possible
have poor language is in one class for 30 kids
is a huge advantage the success isn't experiencing is
is beating all expectations I'll
we do provide credit so it's a very rigorous high school course
I'm it's an advanced course I meant students at leave here
need to prove proficiency in order to continue on
%uh the sixty kids last year that took the class none of them dropped
man all the mercy the high school credit for that and then enrolled in
their I'll the next course two consecutive course in the high school
and summer looking at AP world languages do academy as an alternative school
within the high school
here at Union and it's a school are part of the school that provides
a non-traditional learning environment for students who are
either credit deficient are hutu for emotional or social needs require a mark
carrying are smaller learning environment what we do is we
kinda Center the Academy within a community classroom
which is their English class Senate for juniors and seniors and then
aside from that you're able to take online classes
add credit recovery class is to you know stay on pace for graduation
do thing I like most about being a candidate
is I mean where one big happy family
they look out for as we look out for them if we need help
either online courses or in class where to help us our
I think her every program is anything going on it's giving them a chance to
make up for mistakes or chrome
pass has they grow up chained
pro I'm gives them a chance to win become
them specifically at Union High School they have
their alternate program which they called it the Academy
and when the school board ass the principal
about what was the testing to such a high graduation rate because I believe
it was 96 percent which was
within the top two or three graduation rates within the stay
he attested to the graduation rate directly to the academy and the usage
I'll are
individualize instruction that we use through our a technology based
instruction
my like most about it that I like tonight
no I get to catch up I get to recover
all but I've nesting it helps me out
are like being able to graduate and I am its
unosom opportunity if you look at
how what online education does for us as a district
it does solve two major I issues force
and one problem is individualize instruction for all students to be able
to meet the diverse needs a
students and so that ability for to have one-on-one instruction
in all areas it really helps us right now were in a place where
wherever the problem lies the mouse we've access online education to address
those problems
I think students
like online learning because it's flexible in design
students are able to access it
in most cases at different times during the day they still have high
expectations to
attend class but it is
more flexible for them ok
I wonder to college and go possibly to cart
almost a dental assistant a dental hygiene
limited big and seeing how that goes
pick another big area that helps us do is really prepare students to enact
in operate and playing and learning in the 21st century
and so those skills and abilities they have are sensual as they move on to
for universities are the world at work I wanna get a master's degree and global
development
and just text and after that I plants and worked for the sheriff's office
and adults and after police academy I hope to become a chance to learn
we're looking at ways we can design up teaching and learning to meet the needs
of our community
and the partnership with fuel is we talk about what we want to try to accomplish
and they built service models around what we want to try to accomplish
sunset hanna Mina programs and say this is what we can do for you
they listen to while we need and worked with us to build
a program to meet me in the district which ultimately with me
music I definitely want to move on company
a doctor and a trauma surgeon and
allergist love to be able to help people and
move on cleaning make discovering Online and Blended Learning at Evergreen Public Schools

Why Schools Should Start Classes Later

Diposting oleh Unknown | 07.56

Info : schoolschools.blogspot.com > Why Schools Should Start Classes Later
this episode the news is brought to you by Audible are you kids out there who
hate waking up early for school
worry not confiance has your back the hey guys terror here for the news and
like many have you out there I am NOT
a morning person having a wake up at 6am
every single day was funny thing I hated most about school growing up
and now there's research to prove that it can actually affect our academic
performance
new study conducted throughout 718 public elementary schools in Kentucky
friends that earlier school start times for so stated with lower performance
but only in students from middle or upper class backgrounds researchers
assessed academic performance using standardized test scores
as well as attendance rates teacher-student ratios and retention
rates which is the number of students required to repeat
a certain grade be theorized that earlier start times would be associated
with lower performance and almost all this areas particularly in disadvantaged
schools
but to their surprise the results show that wasn't true
kids who attended schools in disadvantaged district sign no
difference in performance
regardless of what time school started however children attending
affluent schools saw significant decrease in academic performance he
earlier school started researchers say sleep deprivation could be what's at
hand here
not getting enough sleep could costumes to lose the ability to remain alert and
focused in class
and it may also lead to an increase in illness as for why this only seems to
affect children affluent schools the answers are still mostly unknown
although they believe it may be because disadvantaged children have so many
other risk factors at play
now before we start rowing to have school start at 9am
there were some other unexpected findings the study also found that the
later school start
the higher the chance there is of students having repeat grades
for every additional minute later school starts retention rates increased by 2.2
percent
so starting school day off even five minutes later than normal
could lead to a one percent increase in the amount of students being held back
now that's pretty and fed a call to the rest to the study which links later
start times that improve performance
but one possible explanation for that researchers say is that starting school
later
may cause average students to improve while those with learning disabilities
have been even harder time keeping up
they also warned that because this is the first study to ever examine the
relationship between school start times
and student retention in preadolescent more research is needed before solid
conclusions can be drawn
still think about things you could get done if school didn't start till 10 a.m.
you can read a book or better yet you could listen to a book on our way back
up
I double is the leading provider a downloadable digital audio books and
spoken word
entertainment and they've got over a hundred thousand titles to choose from
including books for kids just download them to your iPod or mp3 player and
listen to them
anywhere you want on the bus at home or at recess if you want to the indoor kids
no shame in that the reason I'm so pale that's all you can get a free audiobook
download up your choice by signing up at
audible podcast dot com slashing use every sign up help support the show and
encourages reading
but thats education ball in the meantime let us know what you think a study
hate it for love it school started a half hour later parents I'm sure you
feel differently than your kids but let us know anyway
just leave your answers in the comments below as always thank you guys for
